When you've met one person with autism, you've met one person with autism
Our guest for this episode is Anja Hartleb-Parson. And if you're a regular TLDC viewer or listener, you know that Anja has been on a few times before, mostly talking about Data Science and L&D.
So it was with great interest when she approached me to discuss this episode, whose title is "A Sample Size of 1: Living and Working with Autism".
This episode has profoundly affected me more than any broadcast TLDC has done. And it's kind of ironic that I didn't know that April is Autism Awareness Month. Because Anja taught me a lot in our conversation, and helped me understand that I have a whole lot to learn about autism. And it wasn't just her, it was also the active participants in chat, most of whom lead lives affected by autism.
It's been a few days now and I haven't stopped thinking about this conversation. I'm grateful to Anja for her willingness to share her story, and for choosing TLDC as a space to discuss it.
And what you'll see from me and TLDC is a summer virtual event that's going to be focused on accessibility and inclusion. If you're interested in helping build the event, message me at luis@thetldc.com.
